Keplr is recognized for comprehensive security while being a user-friendly wallet.

How Does Keplr Work?

Keplr operates as both a browser extension and a mobile application, allowing users to manage their cryptocurrencies and interact with dApps directly from their web browser or mobile device. The wallet supports functionalities such as token management, staking, governance voting, and even dApp interactions. Hardware wallets such as Ledger can also be integrated into Keplr for an extra layer of security. 

Keplr Compatibility

Keplr Wallet supports a variety of blockchains, primarily those running on Tendermint and Cosmos SDK. This includes major networks such as Cosmos Hub, Iris Hub, Kava, and the Crypto.com Chain. Additionally, it supports other traditional blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and even Cardano.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Keplr

Advantages:

Disadvantages:

  • Limited to Tendermint-Based Blockchains: While extensive, its support is mostly confined to the Cosmos ecosystem.

  • Browser Dependency: Certain browsers do not allow integration of the Keplr extension, the wallet only supports Chrome and Brave browsers and cannot be integrated into Safari for Apple users.
